DCI Group is currently seeking to fill the position of Web Strategist & Designer in our Web Services division.

Job Responsibilities:

The Web Strategist & Designer will be responsible for advising stakeholders of best practices and strategies for their Web properties. This includes:

•Staying current with, and incorporating the use of, the latest tolls for online advocacy and messaging

•Educating and advising client teams on most effective uses of their Web properties

•Integrating online best practices with client wishes/needs

Responsibilities also include the design of and front end build out of web sites for DCI clients. This involves:

•Designing website comps in Photoshop for client approval

•Cutting and coding of approved comps using CSS and html/xhtml

•Working with programmers to make sites functional as well as test and work out any bugs

Requirements:

At least five years previous experience in a similar position required, preferably with online messaging/advocacy campaigns.

The ideal candidate would possess the following skills:

•Ability to work as part of a team with DCI programmers, website project managers, and graphic designers and be an integral part of the work flow.

•Working knowledge of Photoshop, CSS, html/xhtml, and JavaScript.

•Ability to take design and format it into a WordPress or Drupal site is a plus, but not required. Flash skills and knowledge of ColdFusion and/or PHP are also a plus but not required.

Job Responsibilities:

General responsibilities include: ensuring client teams’ online campaign needs are met while offering strategic opportunities for improvement.

The Account Manager will be required to:

•Act as the primary point of contact between client teams and Web Services

•Maintain all client Web properties to ensure current, accurate content in conjunction with client teams

•Analyze and communicate client requirements for new development of websites, social media, and e-mail campaigns

•Stay current on new and emerging technologies, and how those can best serve DCI and our clients

Requirements:

Two to three years previous experience in a similar position required, preferably with online messaging/advocacy campaigns.

The ideal candidate would possess the following skills:

•Working knowledge of online content management systems, WordPress and Drupal is strongly preferred.

•Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously and to work as part of a team with DCI’s video and graphic designers and be an integral part of the work flow.

•Basic working knowledge of html and PhotoShop.

•Ability to effectively communicate complex technologies to unfamiliar stakeholders.

•Flash skills are a plus but not required.

Technical Requirements:
1. 5+ years Java language (current) with 2 years of Java 5/6 (Generics and Annotations)
2. 5+ years current Object Oriented Programming experience
3. Database Application Development experience (Oracle / MySQL)
4. Extensive use and knowledge of varied design patterns
5. SOA (service oriented architecture)
6. Dependency Injection framework experience
7. Web Application framework experience
8. Application Clustering / Architecture (scalability knowledge)
