Requirements:
• JavaScript, AJAX, DHTML, XHTML, CSS, XML & JSON
• Knowing the difference between YUI, jQuery, Prototype, Ext, and MooTools, and know X is better than Y, and Z is terrible
• Ability to back up your opinions with examples and test case
• Expert in W3C compliant, cross browser compatible, CSS/HTML development
• An inner calling to program for the iPhone
• Experience working with big brands and multi browser development
• A strong knowledge of design basics and principles
• Ability to spot a 1px difference at a glance (and it makes you twitch)
• You know the details of HTTP, understand Apache configuration, and know your way around a server (more than FTP)

Information Architect/User Experience

Description
The Information Architect is responsible for creating user-centric web site and web application architectures that are scalable, intuitive and easy to use. The Information Architect is responsible for coordinating the content, navigation and design for a variety of interactive solutions. He or she must have the ability to conceptualize all aspects of web site and application interface designs. The Information Architect will work closely with the front-end development team, designing information structures and hierarchies, creating navigation models, and developing interactive solutions. He or she will also lead project meetings and brainstorming sessions.

The position offers a mix of working directly with clients and partners to create artifacts such as wireframes, sitemaps, user scenario matrices, content catalogs and other critical project
documents. This person should have a developed user-centered design methodology and the ability to clearly articulate their ideas with excellent written, verbal, and graphic style. We are looking for someone who will help us architect the best possible user experiences..

Deep appreciation of industry standards, usability and trends in web development. He or She should have outstanding graphic design skills, strong understanding of usability, and be knowledgeable in HTML/CSS/JS/AJAX.

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop all necessary deliverables as it relates to information architecture. This includes feature and functions set, security matrix, concept map, card sort, site map, wireframes, interaction models (user flow, application flow, etc.), content catalogs, content object model and personas
- Ability to communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale to other members of the design, development and client teams
- Perform primary and secondary user research
- Write user interface specifications that capture proposed designs in detail
- Develop methodologies, standards and best practices for Information Architecture
- Provides client and creative/project teams with the insight and ideas they need to create salient user experiences
- Conduct reviews of existing communications, applications, systems and web sites, based on clarity and usability best practices, and prepare reports of findings and recommendations.
- Develops usability test plan and conducts ongoing usability testing
- Act as an advocate for the user, creating structures that help users
accomplish their goals quickly and easily
- Researches and analyzes industry trends and competitor sites, when
necessary. Analyzes audiences and their information and functional needs
- Responsible for project documentation including, but not limited to
Requirements document, Strategic Brief, Competitor and Market Analysis, Heuristic Evaluations, Wire-frames, Site Maps, Content
Categorization and Taxonomies
- Create rapid-prototype mockups for an iterative design process
- Work on strategy initiatives as needed
- Work on new business initiatives as needed

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of information architect experience for large and complex
websites with a diverse user base
- Strong understanding of the user-centered design (UCD) process
- 5+ years experience with usability testing including preparation, execution and analysis
- Knowledge of user-centered design processes, interaction design approaches, web design best practices, and web standards
- Degree in human-computer interaction (HCI), or other relevant design area
- Hands-on knowledge of current web markup or scripting languages: HTML, XHTML, CSS, and Javascript
- Understanding of dynamic or active web content and the use of classic asp, ASP.NET, .jsp and SQL.
- Proficiency in industry standard UI software such as Visio, OmniGraffle, Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint and Acrobat
- Expert analytical skills and experience with user-centered design methodologies, information architecture, interaction design, and usability best practices
- Ability to quickly analyze and comprehend requirements
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of users and support staff.
- Strong conceptual and creative skills
- Commitment to customer satisfaction
- Experience with Localization Issues and Web Accessibility Standards a plus
- Experience with enterprise content management a plus

Education/Training
